The Caravaka podcast created by Kushal Mehra is a unique, market-leading idea in India. While we celebrate the idea of democratized media, very few people have gone on to institutionalize their point of view. It is not just important to leverage the power of social media individually, it is also important to create a legacy which is searchable, reusable and carries scholarly importance. Kushal has worked on bridging this gap perfectly. He has given a voice to many individuals who deserve to be heard but would never get a chance in the mainstream media space. He brings together multitude of ideas and dissects them from various angles to bring a holistic perspective on issues of political, social and cultural significance to his listeners. I have had the privilege to appear on this podcast myself. The good part about Kushal’s approach is that he is open to conflict and criticism as long as it is constructive. One doesn’t have to agree with him to make relevant points on his podcast. May he inspire others to become more disciplined in creating lasting legacies and may The Caravaka Podcast grow by leaps and bounds.
