In this Monologue, I want to share my views on the menace of roadside prayers in India. Cutting across our country average citizens are disturbed almost daily on their commute because some people have decided to occupy the road as they have to pray. Can we allow such practices in a secular nation? If roadside prayers aren’t alright what about other religious celebrations that happen time and again across the nation? How do we draw the line between religious celebration, people’s right to pray, and other citizens’ right to commute in a normal manner?
